| What We Are Reach for the Sky July is a three week, all scholarship summer arts day camp for Issaquah and the Snoqualmie Valley underserved youth ages eight through twelve. |
| The Dream Reach for the Sky July started with the dream of one woman looking for a way to support her local underserved youth with the passion she has for the arts. She gathered some local artists and today this same core group is in our 15th year of providing 40 underserved children from our community, ages 8-12, with three weeks of culturally integrated activities that encourage self expression, confidence and community experience using drama, theater, art, and dance. The children we serve often come from non thriving environments with little exposure to the beauty of art. This marginalized population of children, recommended to us by school counselors, are unable to pay for a camp experience. It is our goal to feed their minds with healthy thoughts and bigger dreams, their bodies with healthy foods and their souls with consistent friendship and love, thus beginning a pattern they can move out into their daily lives. camp experience continues to add to our children's quality of life
and the positive impact it has on our community. |
